Hey Jude是Paul McCartney（The Beatles成员之一）为一个五岁孩子写下的一首歌，这个男孩叫Julian, 是John Lennon 与前妻Cynthia的儿子。这首歌于1968年发行，原本收录进同名专辑The Beatles，後来又作为单曲发行，并迅速成为了当年的冠军单曲。Paul在车里为Julian写下了这首"Hey Jude"，可当时的Julian并不知道。直到二十年后，Julian才明白这首歌是写给自己的。这首歌的原名是"Hey Julian"，后来改为"Hey Jules"，最终变成"Hey Jude"， 因为Jude这个名字比前两者都要响亮。虽然它比一般的单曲长了两倍，但还是广受欢迎，并且很快就成了英国和荷兰的榜行榜冠军。短短两个星期后就出人意料地售出了两百万张，而且在美国的美国告示牌Billboard 榜首位置上停留了9个星期。Hey Jude在全球的销量超过了八百万张，这是The Beatles后期在商业上一个夺目的亮点，孙燕姿也曾经翻唱为同名歌曲"Hey Jude"。
